I met up with the Paper Angels crew in the morning and we went up to this outlaw town up in the hills, where all the land is private, police can't patrol the roads, or even enter without a warrant, and people build and do whatever they want to on their own property. The area is also really minimally developed, and basically in the middle of a redwood forest, and we were hiking around looking for shoot locations (we had permission to be there). It was kind of an easy day, with burritos for lunch, but it was refreshing just to hang out with a bunch of really positive people who have a much more imaginative way of looking at the world than most people in San Hoe do. Then last night I went to a really good industrial show. Both the headlining act, Haujobb, and Anti-Mechanism, their supporting act, were fucking cool bands, played fucking cool music, and got everyone to go crazy on the dance floor. Sadly, however, Lauren was absent, and I think she totally made the mistake to choose not to go to this show with me. The same goes for all the people who decided to instead go to Death Guild in S.F. that night, which I'm sure plenty of people did, and they probably didn't have nearly as good a time as I did last night. And I was straight sober, too, because I didn't have the money to buy drinks.
Today, I'm in the process of having surgical shit done to my teeth. I'm on my way to getting a real fake tooth, instead of the temporary one I have right now. So I'm sitting here writing this with gauze in my mouth, my gums are bleeding and sore because they were sliced open a couple hours ago, I have a metal post in my jaw where the root of my real tooth used to be, and I have another appointment at 2 to get some other shit done to my face. Fuckin' ay. Think I'm gonna try to take some Tylenol.
